Hi Makita - if your after a quick Mini you should look at a Cooper S Works or if the budget can stretch and you don't mind no back seats a GP is the one to get.

Test drive a few, see what you like.
I have a R56 Cooper S and it is cracking, tons of torque all way through rev range (from the turbo) means you are never caught lacking. Plus newer R56 cars use considerably less fuel and are cheaper to tax...always worth keeping in mind.
Only thing I would say is don't buy new...loose a fortune in first year as I am finding out ! I paid out about £22k and am trying to sell just over a year on and getting no interest at £16.5k !
