Hmmmm - I'm not sure, but I think you are f**ed !! Give Carl Baker a ring, he works from home so will robably answer the phone, very helpful and the TVR alarm and immobiliser Guru.
Are you saying that every time you use the car you put that silver key in?? I think you must be then only Cerbera owner that does that, it's normal to leave it and 'Never ever touch it!'
Good luck.

I`ve took it out for the past 2yrs. I leave the cerb on the drive so I`d rather take it out than some scum bag take it. Seems the plan has back fired!

Ta Russ, looks like I`ll have to order one.
Typical the cerb`s sat on the drive for 2 weeks because I`ve been busy. Sunny day, time to spare and this!!
If I don`t find it quick she`ll have me doing DIY!

either get a new key or just install a new lock. At least you will have a spare key as I imagine the new lock would come with multiple keys.

The key only operates a switch. If you pull out the ashtray you can feel two black wires behind coming from the switch, if you join these together the swich is bypassed. This will allow you to use the car untill you can get a new switch.

Get your hands on a wiring diagram for the car and you'll be able to bypass it.

Thanks, I`ll try to connect the wires tomorrow. In the end I`ll have to buy a new lock.
Can I ask. Why does everyone seem scared of removing the key? I`ve done it now for over 2 1/2 yrs and never had any trouble.
I`ve heard of the TVR gremlins and I shouldn`t print this but they`ve never got to me!!

I have heard that these barrel locks can be overcome with a plastic Biro cap!

Cut off the tang and push it in the lock and with a giggle n wiggle it turns!

Never tried it myself, but have heard this about motorbike disc locks and that it takes only seconds to do!

On a more helpful note, my key lock fell to bits and I'm sure the number is stamped on the barrel if you remove it from the dash! Simple to get another one cut from the number.

Are you sure you don't have the number in the documents somewhere??
I have two keys, is it worth calling the previous owner, he may have found it?
