I'm pretty much sold on picking up one of these little systems for the kitchen / diner. Its getting great reviews and is perfect for my needs.

I'm unsure, however, whether to pick it up with the standard speakers (they sound pretty damn good to me) or to get some (slightly superior?) alternatives, such as:

Q Acoustics 1020
Tannoy Mercury F1 Custom
Mordaunt-Short Avant 902i

I'm keen to keep the speakers as small as possible as its going in the kitchen / diner (nice room for entertaining). The Tannoy's and the Mordant-Short's are a bit bigger than either the standard Denon's or the Q Acoustic's so would have to be worth the sacrifice with noticably better performance.

Has anyone bought this new Denon system? If so, what speakers did you choose and what are your views? Alternatively, does anyone have any experience of the speakers I have suggested (or alternatives)?

Finally, the room is quite echoy (spl?), I guess as the floor is stone tiled. I'm not sure if and how this might affect my decision. Could sound boxy and flat or tinny and harsh. No idea which is more likely.

Denon systems are stunning for the price

I have a denon hi-fi system in my bedroom, and a surround sound system for the tv both have never skipped a beat.
