Heard a faint rattle on my R56 MCS yesterday, which turned into a rather loud rattle between idle and 2.5k rpm - Fine above that though- had BMW Assist come out and have a look this morning - Low loader arrived about 10 minutes later to recover it to BMW in London (i was in Birmingham !!)
Its just had a 20k servive with BMW and a 1000 miles later it needs a top end rebuild !!!!
Anyone experienced this before ?
Was meant to be doing a track day in a week or so's time as well - and no it hasnt been tracked before
Had it from new and am gutted - quite apart from the fact the they were prepared to leave me in birmingham with wheels as my Licence was in London (lesson learnt - dont leave home wihout it !)
They did pay for a cab though - Birmingham to Cheltenham (drop my son off) to Woolwich
