Hi, I'm just about to install my fuel system but need advice as to what connections to use. It runs at fairly high pressure being an injection system using Facets most powerful "blue top" pump, so can anyone advise me what connections are suitable / acceptable and where to get any specialist connectors I might need? Is it ok to use flexible fuel pipe along the whole length or should I run copper along the chassis and just put flexible between the pump and tank and the copper and engine fuel rail?

Many thanks.

Use hard lines for the most part if possible but remember that they must be supported and using metal clips with rubber or plastic inserts. If you are heading for SVA they will fail ordinary P clips but you can use the plastic clips designed to push into a hole in the chassis.

You can use Jubilee clips but the pipe end should have some sort of flare for the clip to sit behind. Having said that Jubilee clips rather let the side down on a tidy kit build so braided hose and fittings make a much nicer job unfortunately they are B expensive.

At some stations you will fail on any fuel line usng Jubilee clips. Spend a little extra on proper fuel pipe clamps. These give an all round grip which jubilees in small sizes cannot.

I used 2 jubilee clips on my injection pressure pipes.

Beware of what copper pipe you use. Table W 8mm and 10mm as sold in plumbers merchants work hardens with vibration and may fracture. You'd have to use Kunifer or similar I would imagine.

Bugger I didnt realise this. I have fitted my kunifer fuel lines using the black nylon ones

Looks like I might have to cough up more money to redo something I have already done
