Anyone here have a second car, or a car for winter use to tuck the TVR away? If so, what are they? smile

I've got a Clio 172 Cup but to be honest the cerb has proved more reliable recently and is used as the daily run about.

Think i will keep using it throught winter too unless there is a stack of snow.

I've got a 1.6 3 series BMW! 0-60 is 12 seconds. Very reliable and economical though.

I have a very nice Audi A8. 2.8ltr V6.
10 years old and still drives like a new limo!
Cost £3k last year.
Bargain as my depreciation is next to nothing!
So overall running cost are low, even with 28mpg avg.
Spares and maintenance not that expensive if you go to a local grease pit!
Built totally from Aluminium, very light for its size, and it IS a big car!

I'm looking at what to get as a second car currently! Would like something thats ok pottering round town, maybe the odd motorway trip, and definitely something I can thrash on track. Thinking about possibly an early MX5, maybe an S1 Elise, even contemplated a CRX for 10 minutes!!

Smartcar? I know several TVR owners who run Smarts as a second car, cheap to insure, tax and low fuel consumption.
