Has this got bad news written all over it?

It says it needs a head gasket, but i can imagine at 26k and a year 2000 model it will most likely need a full rebuild. Could it just be a huge money pit?

Worth it at that price.
I paid 4k more for my 2000W and have spent quite a lot...a lot...a very lot...a very very lot... of money on it since.

But I still love it.

I noticed that one too.......Car looks tidy (I know it's hard to tell from pics), but If you managed to get it for 9k, then budgeted for a worst case scenario of an engine by TVR Power/Racing Green etc, then that makes the car 15k. If it's a good car apart from the engine, then it's a gamble, but may be worth it once you've got the new engine in it with a two year warranty. Really does depend on the general condition of the car/chassis/interior.
