Europa S 225 ECU problem

Hi all!

My first Europa S was destroyed (Falled down during the transport on the truck > see my topic), after the 225 upgrade Lotus Ecu failed. (1600km)

My second one was stopped yesterday after restart, after refuelling. (1298km)

My dealer declared that Lotus knows that fact, and is currently testing a remap with factory Europas.

Is anyone in my case, or knowing what is true ?

It's my fourth Lotus, and I'm rather desapointed

sorry to hear that, as I'm sure the car is superb in all other areas, which only adds to the frustration. I have a friend who suffered similar gremlins. The hardest part is correct diagnosis and most of the wasted time comes from mis-diagnosis. Once they've cracked it, it should be a permanent fix. At least you know the factory are on to it and are suitably embarrassed. Some sportscar makers would just give you the 'they all do that sir' line.

I got the serial 200BHP ECU yesterday, fixed it, and miracle : IT RUNS !!! Waiting now for the remapped 225.

Bad news, by pushing the car in my garage, the Ironmanpusher who helped me committed two little humps on the frontclam...

What's upcomming next ???????????????????????????????????

I would say you need to change your god but perhaps if you had not had these problems you would have been driving on the road and collected a 32 tonner!!
