Did any of you got rid of the griffith heater and its ancillaries? do you have any pics of the work? what's the weight savings?

Not got rid of the heater system myself,but if you do,and you intend to remove the matrix,then i would link out the pipes as these are the thermostat bypasssmile

Thanks Aj, i'd have to bypass the heater...i knew this but if i saw a pic on how actually do it, better.

The bypass could easily be achieved given thew routing cureently on the o/s. Just add a different fixed length metal pipe. Then simply unbolt the heater matrix and remove. All sounds so easy doesn't it.

Remember the matrix and bypass does add a minimal amount to the cooling systems ability to maintain temps, but it's fairly marginal I imagine.
