On the radio they were talkin ablout upcoming 'reality' TV show Air Celebrrity.

'Celebs' (z listers and even below) take over trolly dolly duties on Monarch routes. Minor celebs also on board as celeb passengers.

think Chico, Lisa Scott Lee, Jonny Shental, Kenzie and Tamara Beckwith...

Maybe they should rename 'Car Crash Tele' to 'Plane Crash tele' smile

Or did someone suggest that once before?

Rgerttably now it's

1. somebody who had a bit part in Casualty in 2001. You can just see them there, behind the... no, they've gone.

2. somebody who came second in X-factor

It would seem that 'celebrity' and 'cretin' are approaching synonymity.

So instead of any decent service on the plane, you'll get a camera crew bumping into you, and some loud mouthed extrovert idiot being 'keerrazy' for the sake of it... Sounds fantastic. i wonder if you get a discount for being on that flight?

I had to google those names to find out who they are (were?) - why do people put these things on tv?

it's as if the lower down the production food chain you go, the fewer "fame points" these people are worth, the more "celebrities" you find.. like having 50 Daewoo Nexia GLXi's on your drive makes you as cool as having one LP560... rolleyes

Moyles was talking about it this morning...

I nearly crashed the car laughing at the 'celebrity' names

What sort of imbecilic cretins run TV Production Company's that think we actually want to watch this sort of utter ste?

And more to the point, what sort of imbecilic cretins are the controllers of TV Channels that actually give them airtime.... fack me, it's dreadful.. wink

And you wonder why Dave TV is like the 4th most watched channel and all they show is repeats of albeit decent programmes from years gone by...

My memories of flying with Monarch .... sardines have more leg room, and I'm sure that the next flight on Ryan Air felt like flying first class in comparison.

I'd hate the be the flight deck crew on one of these flights.

Wouldnt the camera men make emergency evactuations of the aircraft dificult?
