Engine to come out,any advice?

Planning on taking the engine out of my t350 over the winter,to replace chains and tidy things up.Has anybody any advice on best way to do it?Is it best coming out on its own or with gearbox?Out from top or underneath?I have a well equipped garage,ie engine crane,jacks,stands ect.Also screen on dash as gone very faint, still lit up green,no dead pixles,just gradualy got worse over last couple of weeks,just about make readings out if you look close,anyboby any ideas?Regards,Steve.

If you are dropping the engine out you might want to document the process and take loads of pictures (something similar to a Haynes manual)

I`m sure Graham might be interested for his workshop manual (assuming he aint had the engine out yet )
