We just got back from 4 days in the Costa del Sol, staying at a Villa with some friends of ours.

I was a 'PBV' - A 'Puerto Banus Virgin' so we went there on Saturday night for a couple of drinks and a look around.

To be clear - I grew up in Essex (and in a stereo-typical area of Essex) - and so I am used to people who have earned a couple of quid and are keen to show others that they are not afraid to spend it on shiny stuff. However, this place is on a whole new level altogether - The cars are simply off the scale and many of the yachts must be worth tens of millions each. The women are well, of a standard that you might expect in that playground. It is unlike anywhere else that I have visited in Europe although not neccesarily everyones cup of tea ( I hope for the sake of mankind).

If you haven't been there, and you aren't too fussed about a bit of culture, check it out, it truly was a 'life experience' for me!

A long lunch at Cipriano's washed down with the vintage variety of Torres Gran Vina Sol used to take a bit of beating. The rest is just scenery.
