I have been looking for a cerbera for about 3 months now. looking to pay in the region of £10-12k, spotted this one on classified's.

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/678059.htm

Is anyone familiar with the car? seems little cheap to say its had tvr power rebuild of circa £6k (according to their website)?

Cheers

Why isn't he showing the interior? Ask for some photos of the inside, some Cerb interiors can look very tatty, and are expensive and difficult to put right.
If there are 2 good cars, then get the one in the colour you prefer, but i;d rather have a good sorted Cerbera in the 'worng' colour, than a bad one in the 'right' colour. TVR's suit mad colours, and MXI993's purple' colour looks stunning in 'real life'.

Edited to corecct spilling errers

Dont worry Alan. Ive lost count the number of times I've heard those words. Only for the same poster to come on a month later asking how to fix a dozen problems!
The one thing I've learnt since owning a Cerb - BUY THE CAR, NOT THE COLOUR !!

That's a cheap car if it's as good as they claim it is.

That red engine looks a bit extreme though (but then again you can't see the engine while you are driving wink ).

Seems like a really cheap car. Worth a look though and an inspection by one of the specialists.

That car was on the Pistonheads classifieds about 2 months ago for 9.5, I had been waiting till my engine was ready before I actually buy a car but that one even with the question of the interior / chassis and other potential pitfalls is worth a further look...

Anyone got an idea how much a TVR power 4.2 rebuilt into a 4.5 is worth?

Btw: I remebered a few things from the last time the car was up - If you look at PIC number 1 and look at the front wheel arch between the main head light and the wheel you will see 2 (for lack of a better word) blobs where the pain is whitened, the last time the car was up you could see clearly that those two blobs looked "crazed" like someone had smashed the paint in those areas

Top end only from Power would be about £3.5K.

Thanks for the advice guys, had 2 viewings and bought it. Mechanically very good, a few marks on the bodywork and carpets a little sun faded but for 12 years old nothing major, and nothing i cant sort out myself.

This is my 1st Cerbera and i cant believe the smile it puts on your face when you press the loud pedal
