Boy, roll bars were a hot topic when I first discovered PH. Too bad the archives cut off after 2 years.

Quite agree.. The amount of unaccessible knowledge now lost is a shame!

You can manually scroll past 2 years just not search. bit of a PITA though.
General thoughts on a full cage in a road car, is not a good idea, due to restricted access, and as you not wearing a crash helmet have a big chance of banging you head on one of the bars, and doing a lot of damage esp if its in a crash.

Was you watching 5th gear when they flipped the convertible by any chance.

I think the best option is to fit a rear roll over hoop, than a full cage.

A full cage was sold a while back by Jagpanther. well it was a semi scrape racecar.

Also not sure you could get the original seat back in with a full cage.

Rollrace centre will fit you a new cage if that really what you want though, they have a 3-6 month wait list, and it not going to be cheap.

depends why you want it.

Ivor,
I used Performance and Protection in Skipton. Excellent job for 1100 GBP including removing my old cage..

I was just going to say the same
They have a very good reputation and were very reasonably priced as well

Rollcenter did the original Taz challenge cages.... Not really suitable for a road car though. all the bars too close to your head... ok with a helmet but lethal with a normal seatbelt and no lid!!!
my helmet has lots of marks on it where I've knocked it on the cage in normal lapping, never mind an accident. im sure that would hurt if it was mu head..

TBH not really safe to put a full cage in a road car, just not enough room... a carefully positioned rear hoop is ok, but many of them are too easy to hit with your head in an accident..

A roll cage may well stop you being squashed, but can also be like being hit in the head by a lump hammer !! so be carefull what you fit..

I was under the impression that it was a tracker? Could be wrong though!

If it IS a roadcar, definitely DO NOT GO FOR A FULL ROLLCAGE!

If it's a track car and you have a helmet...go for it
