Right i hooked it all up last night pretty easy compared to other software i have used on other cars.

I noticed from the electrical fault status screen i had only one fault and that was AFR1357 BAD. in the manaul is mentions AFR1357 FLT is this the same or is my code a more serious or less serious meaning?

then on the next screen, throttle 1 was reading 16.9 to 18% and throttle 2 was reading 15.5 to 16.6% but rarely hit 16.9 it was more 15.5 to 15.9.

Lambda 1 was 0.23 - 0.28v lambda 2 was 0.01-0.89

NOW my adaptives are worrying me :
adpt 1 -10.6 to -2.31 adpt 2 +9.4 to max of +20.2 hardlt hit 20.2 but it did, it remained around 16.2-19.4roughly

i then reset the fault codes and afr 1357 went to ok and remianed at ok for the duration of the car idling on the drive.

i also reset adptv maps and the idle speed dropped to rouglhy 750rpm and the car was shaking like mad i looked at the adaptives and adapt1 was -5.1 and adapt2 was +20.8 and lower.

after 2 or 3 mins the cars rpm rose to a healthy 900rpm no faults came up.

i reset the adptv maps again and the cars rpm dropped to a state that is stalled itself. i restarted and revved it a bit where the revs idled at 750 rpm roughly. again after 2/3 mins the rpm rose up to 900 and that was it.

can some one point me in the direction as whats up with her. i can see the 2 throttles are out of sync, can i adjust these by adjusting the linkages on throttle 1 by a few mm. as for the adaptives, why is one in the minus and one in thee 20's. i did have the manual by the side of me and i was reading it as i was looking at the real time display but ive forgotten what the manual said could be the possible problems.

cheers in advance. shayne

The following text is from Joolz/Trackcar..

"The basis for setting the V8 is to firstly slacken the linkrod between the banks, then by interpreting the adaptive value relative to the throttle pot value bank to bank you can deduce which bank is sucking more air (assuming equal t-pot values this is the bank with the higher adaptive value) there is no other way of interpreting the values .. it's as simple as that. You just adjust the link / throttle pots and idle screw to get the adaptives equal, but also AS CLOSE TO ZERO AS POSSIBLE! If one bank of your engine has adaptives of around 30 % then this is running about on the rich limit ... it won't enrich any more than that. So this means your engine needs a good tune up."

So assuming everything on the Engine side is good - eg Lambda's, HT Leads, coil packs etc - what you need to be doing is alternat 'fiddling' between the Throttle rod links and the T-pots to get the correct settings.

The AJP is nothing like the classic Yank V8. What you have, in effect, is 2 four cylinder engines bolted together. 1357 is one engine, and 2468 is the other engine. So what you are trying to achieve is to get 'both' engines perfectly balanced.
