Thanks for pointing me to the z3m forum above - I didn't realise about the bearing shell failures on the S54 engines and the grief that BMW puts owners through to cough up any goodwill!

Is there any proof that the "preventative maintenance" actually works? (i.e. replacing the bearings and bolts for circa £2K yikes)

Think I might well have seen it at a Sunday Service earlier this year (the one at the train station with the too small car park wink ). Is possible I imagined this, the mind boggled at the amount of tasty metal present that day!!

LoudPedal, that is an awesome, awesome machine. Exactly what mine looks like in my head unfortunatelycloud9

Got any in HQ that might fit a 1650x1080 desktop?

It will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine...

Tony, Are they Recaro pole position seats? Do you mind me asking were they easy to install? Also what is the exact model of the BBS wheels, they look stunning! I've a Phoenix yellow Z3MC and these are the two mods i'd love to do on my car.
Thanks
Jon

Wheels are BBS 'Le Mans'

The seats are indeed recaro Pole Position. They were fairly straight forward to fit using some Vac motorsport floor mounts. the only other things i did was to colour code the seat backs and to modify the ears of the seats to stop them fouling the door with the seats all the way back.
