Very nearly gave my driver a heart attack as I started shouting and jumped out of the car in middle of traffic to get a look at this... breathtaking.

Is one of the air scoops broken and stuck in the "up" position? Or are they all like that?

Hong Kong. I got a telling off for having my car waiting on a double yellow.. this guy however is on the "absolutely do not park here" zone. The car looks many time meaner in the carbon, so I don't blame the policeman for steering clear.

I only just realised it's a LHD so it has to have the trade plates on as you can only register RHD cars for the road. There is a Porsche GTC running around doing the same thing.

The guys that like their exotica moving at more than 30mph send and usually store their machines at the Zhuhai circuit.

I think its a little odd that they've got so many little things right (screenwash nozzles in-line with the bonnet panel gaps etc.) yet they dont paint the mirrors in matching matte black.

Does anyone know why they seem to be gloss black?

The car itself isn't matt black, it's greyish with a glitter effect in embedded in it, Evo had some great pics in June that show the glitter flake sparkling in the sun.

Drivers are very, very reasonable and a MUST if you have a business. It's changing very slowly, but it's about being driven in the East, not driving. So having a driver is one thing, WHAT your driver drives is another...

Unfortunately, the parking situations over here make it completely pointless to drive. Coming from someone who could probably father a child with a supercar.. you can imagine my pain. I've spent hours and hours looking at motors but driving from one underground car park to another with a few minutes of traffic between parking would kill me. Also, with the tax, you are still paying a fair whack for cars that are very cheap back in Blighty.

Some examples: 90,000 quid for a 1999 360 with 8,000 miles anyone? or maybe 230,000 of your finest sterling for a 2007 430 is a better option? I prefer to really use a car, unfortunately it's just doesn't make sense here. The upside is that when I am in other countries, it's twice as sweet getting behind the wheel. My driver used to be a big track racer and finds the sweetest lines wherever we go. Subconsciously I think I make sure we are late just to give him an excuse to press the loud pedal. Good man.

aren't the trade plates a way of , a) not paying the huge tax b) being able to drive non type approved cars over there

Correct. I think I'd go with the rough looking plate with a bit of gaffer tape over the tax bill. In this case, whatever the car was bought for, the tax bill will mirror.

Awesome find! thumbup

Wouldn't it be cool if they used LPG (hang on...) so that you could attach a nozzle when refuelling and feel like a real pilot...? Ok, I'm just day dreaming here... cloud9

Probably with Miss World sitting next to him, while he clutched his contract to act as the next James Bond in one hand and used the other hand to fend off the stream of professional footballers trying to chat his bird up....

Welcome back Maranello wink
