Crikey, it looks quite, erm, how should I put it, Brown.

Its been sat for three years. The once over ive given it doesnt look too bad. Im not adverse to the wire brush and hammerite ++.

Problems spotted so far (apart from the obvious)

1. Brake servo U/S.
2. Clutch hydrolics seazed.
3. Driver trailing arm rusted through.
4. Front Tyres balding on inner radius.
5. Battery flat.

I'm sure theres much more, but thats enough to be getting on with dont you think?

If its anything like mine, the list never gets shorter. Each job you knock off the top gets replaced by another at the bottom! Looks like a good project to get your teeth into - good luck!!

Well with 51k on the clock, it would be a shame ti strip it for spares like i was considering. Its only right that i give it a bit of TLC and get it back on the road. I did enjoy autumn nights driving it with the roof down.

Nice one... go for it mate... it looks all so familiar so take plenty pics as you go and when you look back and the aches subside, it will feel so worthwhile... just wait for that first Roar as you fire it up for the first time.. that still brings the hairs on the back of my neck up just thinking about it...

You should have it done for S Club 2009 when / where ever it'll be, not that I'm saying I'll be organising it or anything foolish like that of course

I assume you'll be lifting the body early in the restoration. If its been sat or three years I would definately do a partial lift as this is the only way you can tell the sate of the chassis (I found out the expensive and hard way - see my website and the little shop of horrors).

I'd agree - I'd be surprised if there aren't some chassis surprises there.
If you're handy with a welder (or can learn fast) it won't cost loads of money but a serious amount of effort.
Do a rough budget for what you think needs doing, then double it and add a bit more

That would scare the crap out of me - thankfully there's people like you out there willing to roll their sleeves up.

I see it has the nightmare to clean OZ wheels from the early V8s.

I realy think the OZ's suit the car better.
