Audi dealers and used discount at the moment (A6)?
Discussion
Hi
I'm dropping out of a company car scheme and probably getting an A6 privately - ideally an A6 3.0tdi saloon on an 05/55 plate with all the toys.
Normally I've relied on Parkers/Glass for a guide price and haggled from there, but given the current market conditions I guess they are further from reality as they are based on historic data and the big drops have been in recent months.
How much below sticker price should I be targeting from a main Audi dealer for an A6 at the £16k-£18k mark? Any other guides for prices that people recommend?
Any recent successes or tactics ?
Many thanks

Well that depends I suppose - is the car you're looking at competitively priced?
If it's the right model, spec and money already...

Not much use getting £5K off a car that was £7K overpriced in the first place...
I use the national search facility. Its amazing the spread of prices. I bought an 05 535d m sport, and there was about £6K variance in price. I ended up getting one quite local for £500 more than the cheapest nationally, so i was well pleased.
Might be worth letting your local stealer know that unless he plays ball you will cheerfully drive 200 miles to save £2K on the same car elsewhere.
