There seems to be loads of threads about flying first class at the moment. I thought I'd try and keep them all in one place so people can get it off their chests.

I had a sandwich on a Flybe Embraer 145. It said in the in-flight magazine that celeb chef James Martin had created it. You don't get much posher than that! tongue out

The question should be who has paid for first class with there own money.
I have been upgraded to 1st and the company has paid. Have I paid myself no.
Can I afford it no.

Whilst I have been First/Upper/Club many times, I've never personally paid for First in my life and nor would I.

So I'm not sure of the point of this thread other than it being a "showy-offy" dick-waving exercise; a complete and utter waste of time. rolleyes

Personally yes, but only through expenses. Having flown first class I wouldn't upgrade using my own money. I would probably consider upgrading to business for a long haul out of my own pocket though.

I'll add to my previous post that I have never paid for it either - complete waste of money in the grand scheme of things.

Always been an upgrade or clients paying when business has been full.
