Oil Surge - RV8

What do you guys do about oil surge ..

The dry sump is an obvious way to go but very expensive.

Do you all run baffled sumps and possibly use an Accusump.

Hi Rev, I've not had any problems just running a baffled sump. I don't actually know anyone who runs an Accusump system I'm afraid.

I ran an Accusump on the twin turbo taz and it worked very well. Easy to fit too.

We run a baffled sump with no problem's at all on any track to date.

A simple horizontal plate around the pick up would work but the best wet solution is the group A big wing sump with the trap door system and spring loaded pickup. You won't find one easily but there have been attempts at something similar.

I run a grp A sump and I still get surge from 60 psi down to under 30 but above 10. I only get surge on tight 90 deg corners. I cured most of surge by putting a plate above pick up pipe and running Royal Purple oil.
