It seems a cap or cover has come off my left race face crank? Any ideas where i can get another? i Have searched flebay & Evans with no joy? I assume it is just a cover because there is no thread for anything to twist into.

What cranks are they? I lost the cap off my Evolve x-type crank a couple of months ago, but that is threaded so I'm assuming not the same kind. This is what I needed CLICKY. Little spares like this are a bugger to get hold of, Chain Reaction were out of stock for weeks, then as soon as they came in (I got one), and they were all gone within a couple of days! I tried loads of different Race Face dealers and none of them had it.

you do not need to worry, there is no cover, it is ment to be open like this, I have three sets of raceface cranks, they are all like this, in fact so are Shimano XT and XTR. Hence you can find a plug or cover anywhere.

You do not need one.

Hope this helps.

Wot e' sed.

Your Left crank arm is bonded onto the hollow axle, and your right crank arm is attached to the other side.

Imagine the whole lot on its side, and its the same setup as your headtube.
If you stick your finger under your fork crown you'll find a big open hole there too thumbup

you do not need one, if you put one on there, you could make a moisture trap which would not be good.

but if have to get a plastic bung from a hardware shop.

Did read it thanx, but there was defo something attached prior to a hard ride (with jumps) so must have fell off. If its purely cosmetic i will leave it as is. Cheers.

It's all been said, but the big hole is normal, to clarify, I have the cap above on the drive-side and the "hole" on the non-drive side, never had any cover for it.

It's just cosmetic; forget about it.
