I usually hate topics like this, what I'm paying has no baring on how cheap you should be able to get insurance for...

But I do like to gloat: £600 - 5k a year - 23 years old - 4.2 Cerb - Hagerty.

23 years old, 4.2 cerb- thats pretty much me. Just been to Hagerty's website though and it says that they only insure over 25's?

I am 24 and pay 1024 with Adrian Flux for a 2000 Tuscan 4.0l. This is with fully comp, 4k miles a year, garaged, 4 ync and 3 points.

I was told by most of the TVR insurance companies that I can expect it to drop by 25% when I hit 25

I got a quote on a 4.5 Cerb LW - £387 garaged/4k (28yrs) with Hagerty

Did a 'confused.com' initial search, Elephant £702 IIRC?

Postcode is a massive factor so what someone else is paying is irrelevant to you.

Well im 27 and i pay an amount quite a bit higher than everyone else here on my T350. But them I do live in what is apparently one of the two worst areas for insurance...

Put it this way, i'm unusual where I live because I don't eat bushmeat sold from a suitcase on the pavement...

Not if you just hold hands! wink

I've been quoted anything from £950 to £5K for insurance on a 4.2 cerb. Rather worryingly the £950 came form Tesco!

Just thought I'd post a quick update- turns out despite what it says on their website, if you phone up the people at Hagerty, and speak to them very nicley, they will in fact offer insurance to under 25's. End result is a quote for 428 quid, which even included free breakdown cover. I am, to say the least, a very happy chappy.
