We are thinking of signing up with www.huskuk.co.uk for our diesel fuel cards, has anyone used them before?

They seem to offer what we need, single VAT invoice, MPG info, and other useful features, plus hopefully a small cost saving.

Not sure about them, but we use Arval who have always been excellent and you have no restrictions on where you can fill up.

Avoid BP when filling up - When we have analysed data in the past BP were always on average about 3-4p / litre more than Tesco/Sainsburys for example and 1-3p a litre more than Shell/Esso/Texaco.

We could have saved thousands if our staff had always filled up at Tesco rather than BP/Shell/Esso!

Due another review soon, and given the rate fuel has risen it will be interesting to see how the average prices compare now.

Worth a look around as different cards work well for different companies. We have drivers all over the UK and by the time they have driven out of their way to go to a specific garage (e.g. Esso) any saving on the fuel discount given (some cards offer 1-2p discount per litre or you get a weekly price) was counteracted by the extra miles to get there - so arval worked best for us as they can fill up anywhere, all fuel is invoiced through one company and we have the option of using supermarket petrol stations which are nearly always the cheapest!

Blimey, after that maybe i should be a sales rep for Arval!

Cheers,

Tim.
