Title says it all - Management buy in to a company in Turin that I've known for years. Commuting initially until the family move out there with me. Been on the cards/planning it for 18 months and its finally happening. Pretty excited about it really, Italian language CD is running hot....

Benvenuti! I moved to Milano not a million miles away from Torino a couple of months ago. Have you spent much time here? You'll need to keep learning Italian, they don't speak much English here, and they live up to every Italian stereotype you can think of, and I love them for it! Go north to the lakes, it's beautiful. If you want any info give me a shout.

All Italy is good for is the stunning women, nice weather, supercars and tasty pasta. I can't see what your getting so excited over.

I've heard the wine's alright though.

Guess I've been there not more than a dozen times over the last few years so a lot to learn. They are putting me up in a rather nice serviced apartment block with gym, restaurant and spar to start with until I find somewhere bigger to live. Its an English language industry which helps but that's no help the moment you leave work!

Ciao,

I work in a European role and have just come back an hour ago from Turin (via Paris) into LHR. I hope this is not the route you will commute as it took ages. There are decent flights into GW and Stanstead.

I work once per month in Milano with is a great place, nice people and lots of fun. Enjoy your time there and the language is not too difficult in business as much is English and people will help you out.

All the best

My route is Bristol - Milan then 1.5 hr drive to Torino. Otherwise its a 3 hour drive from my place to Gatwick then direct to Torino which works out longer.
