Scratched Alloy repair
Discussion
I stupidly revered into the edge of a low wall as it was below the level of my mirrors and put a 1" scratch on the rim of my wheel
Its not very long but its scraped through the paint and damaged the alloy rim.
I think im going to dremel away the burrs then rebuild the rim using some metal epoxy.
But im not sure how to paint it or where to get the paint from.
Any other suggestions?
Or should I call in chips away or somebody?
I dont really want to pay to have the wheel refurbed completely as its not that serious.
I would like it to look like it never happened, but im trying to keep the cost down (I had to buy a new tire) so making the damage less visable will do for the moment.

Just get the proud areas of metal flat, fill with chemical metal (or if not much is needed then car body filler) flat down, prime (rattle can is ok) and use a decent colour match topcoat. flat down between coats, and then apply lacquer but be warned most aren't that great at putting a gloss on out of a can. You need a proper spray shop to get the good finish. But it will look better than it does now if you take your time on prep.
Remember lots of light coats, and last coat a bit thicker so you can actually see it wet.
