PS2/PS3 controller adaptor

Anyone used one of those USB adaptors to use an old school ps2 controller with a PS3?

Have got a pretty nice PS2 steering wheel which I'd like to use for GT5/Motorstorm but don't wanna shell out for an adaptor if they don't work very well!

I have one and the only problem I have is getting the right controller to be the right number when I'm using more than one controller if you know what I mean?! Isn't a major problem though just have to fiddle with the settings. Apart from that I've not had any issues although I've not used it with a wheel.
