Could i fix the above wheel sizes on my '96 griffith allright? or is it needed rear wheel diameter to be an inch higher?...like were my stock OZ wheels?

What would eventually be a correct backspace then?

Dunno about 9.5, I'm running 9X18 ET 40 and 8X17 ET25 on mine. Those ET's could be the other way round, but you get the general idea.

What tires you've got on these rims?

Yes, i want to get Hossiers sport cars DOT bias ply rubber sizes 275/60/15 (on 9x15 rims rear) and 245/45/15 (on 8x15 rims front). I've already tried them on my C3 vette, they're good racing tires, fantastic grip (when warm and on neat tarmac) and are very lightweight plus they last longer then i thought, about 2.000 miles on them still pretty good.

If you do find some 9.5 x 15 rims and they fit then let us know where you found them, I gave up looking some time ago, if you found some then I would use some Avons. Agree the Hossiers are a reasonable choice although the A6 compound that I use is a little too hard, which is I guess why they last a bit longer. I run 225/40/17 on 7.5 rims and 245/40/17 on 8 rims, A6 DOT.

Steve, demon-tweeks has a race wheels supply from a small co. that custom build some very good stuff, minilite replicas, veeery light, 3 pieces, perfect finishing, any size and backspace. I've bought them for my C3 in the sizes 11.5x15 rear and 9.5x15 front...i think i'll buy them for my griffith too, only con: They're fcensoredg EXPENSIVE!!!
