Mondeo ST Tdci Values

Currently looking at one of these for the wife and I, possibly to upgrade the Focus.

Despite the new model, there is still quite a few around and all with varying values.

Quite common are 05 reg models up for sale for 8k or more - this seems quite high imo?

I've watched quite a few on Ebay go for under 7k, so when others are asking 1-1.5k more for the same car seems mad! Naturally they may end up finding it takes longer to sell, but also i find newer 55/06 regs going from 8-10k!

I've been put off these before as i thought they were too expensive for what they are, but does anyone else have opinions on their values or what a good price is etc?

Too expensive for what they are?! Have you driven one? Checked equipment levels? For a 2-3 year old car that is a LOT for your ££ imo.

good cars i had one for three years.

only sold it because i got fed up with dealers damaging/breaking things on it when it went in to them.

I used to have the TDCi Zetec S 130bhp version. Good car, except i always wished it had a bit more poke, the extra spec of an ST and i.e was an ST. Sold it as i didn't need the space, but now i do i'm back to wanting the ST if i go for something that size.

How does the Titanium X models compare? They do seem to be slightly cheaper than the ST's, if a little rarer to find.
