Hi All, I own and run a fairly successful company and since starting it 5 years ago I have been planning on having a website.

Im now in contact with a friend of a friend that can do it for me and righfully points out to me that he will require the main input from me, photos, technical information etc.

All this I can provide the main area that bothers me is the intro page, the for want of a better word the bullst page stating how good we are, what we do, what we plan to do etc, I know my shortcomings and know that im just no good at selling myself or the company like that.

Do companies exsist that will write that kinda thing up for you based on questions asked to compile the data ? I dont want to be heading down the advertising and marketing companies and end up paying silly amounts for a few well worded paragraphs.

any suggestions appreciated.

Any web designer worth his salt should be able to do this, its all part and parcel of web marketing. If they can't personally draft something they should know somebody who is able.

If you get really stuck PM me with your company details, products, services etc and I will have a bash for nothing.

(Are sales pitches allowed?)

My consultancy firm has a specialist 'communications' section.

Whilst the 'free' offer (above) may be worth following up on this time, you may also want to consider that if the front page of your website is causing you headaches that there may also be other elements of your company's comms - whether marketing, PR etc - which could use some support.

We can help with one off pieces of work: from small items like producing b2b or business to consumer 'copy' for a website or leaflet to major projects like producing an annual product catalogue.
We can also help by providing a 'virtual' office service - firms who cannot justify a full-time employee in a marketing or communications role pay a monthly retainer fee in exchange for which they can have email or telephone support (as if they had someone sitting inside their own firm)

You can drop by our website http:www.changetrack.co.uk or drop me a PM anytime.
