I am in the process of fitting my new Emerald K3. I have two peugeot/TVR type coil packs Sagem Bea 04 I think. So I can follow a wireing diagram but Helppppppppppppp. !!!!!
How do you test a coil pack. On the bench I connected 12v to pin 3. Then earthed Pin 1 or 2 nothing. I assume pin 4 the filter is only needed for radio interference. So what do I do now, pontless making these fit if I have to buy new.

Doesnt a coil pack work like a normal coil.???

In anticipation thanks for your help.

If its the same coil as the cerbera you have 2 power feeds to the coil and 2 returns to the ignition pins on the ecu. Ive not got my wiring diagrams to hand but if you need to know which pins I can find out on monday for you.

The problem obviously is to sort out how the LT terminals connect to the coils.

How many coils are there in each pack? This would be half the number of HT connections.

If you have two LT terminals per coil I would guess each coil is connected to two terminals and you would need to do a continuity test to see which is which. If you have one per coil plus one extra is more likely you have one common terminal supplying one side of all the coils and the other end of each coil is connected to one of the other terminals. For example the Ford coil packs I use have two coils per pack and three LT terminals - one is a common supply and the others earth the two coils.

Yup, on my ones and another set I've seen, the middle pin is 12v and either side of it is the ground for each coil. If you have 3 pins, I'd say this was the same for yours but obviously finding a wiring diagram would help!
