isn't working properly could it make my TV not come on?

When working - press power switch on TV, power light comes on orange, flashes on and off about 3 times, turns green then TV comes on.

Now - press power switch, power light comes on orange and stays on and that's it. Used to be OK if you left it off for about an hour and tried again but now it's not playing ball at all.

That component is an interference filter on the mains input and it has nothing to do with the problem...

Without seeing it, off the top of my head I suspect the problem is likely to be cheapskate-inadequately-rated electrolytic capacitors failing in the power supply...

I'll try to source another PSU otherwise the telly gets left outside for the local skanks to nick.

Worked straight away for my old bike.

Saved a trip to the dump.
