Can anybody assist with their experiences/knowledge.

My interior lights have been playing up (staying on sometimes) and the alarm has gone off a couple of times at night (the car is locked in a garage and there was nobody about).

Are the lights and alarm linked? Does the alarm use the same sensors on the doors as the interior lights?

Any help much appreciated

You need to first sort out why your interior lights, take them out and check all the connections, and also check the the door closed sensor switch. If the lights come on, the alarm system detects the voltage drop, and so activates the alarm.

is the alram a siren or the horns?

my horns are broken and I dont want to risk it being a silent alarm.

siren, although you can change it to horn...

most common for horn is button or ribbon.

Also it sounds like one of the door switches is failing or a door has slipped out of adjustment..alarm and lights are linked by door switch

Another issue is water ingress to the door buttons, water tracks down to connector and shorts it out...but i would go with door switch first
