Aha, it appears to be a minor bugette rather than a problem. When I logged in from a different machine yesterday my "What's New" went back to Jan 5th and I suspect it was therefore dragging a shed load of posts up.

It seems to be more of a case of "What's New" getting it's last visit knickers in a twist.
