So on friday i said i was making a potato cannon some of you wanted pictures,
well here's a compilation of our days activities today...
Firts few shots were a bit pants, but got them going the length of 2 football fields come the end!

i tried catching one of the potatos, almost broke my fingers!

The gun is around 6' with the combustion chamber being 2' and the barrel 4' try different gasses and use as little as possible, also what ignition do you have on it? On mine you can see two bolts inserted which are sharpened to a point inside with a Piezo ignitor attached. You cannot hold it and fire it, we had to make a stand for it lol.

This is seriously starting to piss me off.

made my potato gun last week.

I cannot get the bugger to fire.

Using cheap hairspray as propellant. Tried with a piezo spark thing like granma used to have.


Any suggestions very welcome. I need to get this working for a competition next week
