Hi all,

Ok, just noticed that the battery light no longer comes on when initally turning the key to the 1st position. The oil light comes on when disarming the immobiliser as normal but the battery light stays unlit. The voltage on the pod shows a good and steady 14v so the battery must be charging, right?

I'm thinking it must be the actual lamp in the pod display but does anyone have any other ideas?

Ta

Andy

That sounds like one hell of a coincidence, TBH!

biggrin yeah, it's no coincidence at all really - happened just after the new alternator was fitted. I know the main cable and 100A fuse were disconnected when it was swapped out and the fuse would have been the last thing connected and I don't think the ignition would have been on at any time either. So, I'm curious as to whether it's an indication of something "wrong" or just that the lamp is knackered. If it's the lamp, I guess I going to have to take the pod to bits to check it out.

hmmm, good point. So does anyone know what needs to be in place to have the battery light lit when the ignition is on but engine not running?

Think I am going to have to get the bonnet off...

Cheers,

Andy
