How do I remove the door cards?

part of my wing mirror rubber is under the mirror base and I want to put it on properly but need to get to behind the door card. I also want to lube up the window runners.

If you look around the edge of the door you'll see counter sunk allen headed bolts remove them all but be carefull as the door card is pretty heavy.

You don't need to take the door car off to do the mirror. Push the mirror all the way forward and you will see an Allen head bolt in the base, then push it all the way back to access the other bolt.
A Squirt of silicone lubricant down the runners can also help a lot with lubricating the windows.

cheers jensenn, i have some silcone based wd40 style stuff that I plan to saturate the runners with.

I want to get the door car off though to thouroughly clean the leather as its ingrained with dirt from peoples elbows etc, so out comes my steamer as A/G leather cleaner doesn't seem to budge it but my mini steamer does.

Another tip for getting ingrained grime off leather is to use baby wipes - SuperDrug own brand are highly effective and won't risk heat stiffening the leather like steam.

ive tried all sorts of cleaners - and the best one is Soap.
Warm water, and a good Girls soap like Dove (with all that mosituriser cream in it smile) Rub the soap on a very damp sponge and rub the leather with it - clean off with warm water and finish off with a good leather proetction cream (not a cleaning cream). - try it you'll be surprised,

Check the top edge as well, where it joins above the hinge/by the mirror. There's a run of silicon sealent on mine that needs trimming to get the card off.
