A swansong for Stirling?
Discussion
Well the Gordon Brown Pound continues a decline whose current pace is is only matched by Gordons poll ratings.
Down from $1.99 just a month back we're now touching $1.80 without sign of much support at all.
On the upside exporters should benefit especially to the US. But if you're buying anything e.g commodities that are priced in $, then any falls for example in the price of oil recently, are being offset by the falling £.
Anyone for stagflation?

Oh well so apart from anything else that's f
ked up a perfectly good discussion on the most rapid decline of the £ versus $ since 1971.
I might as well have posted it in the P&P.
Eric any chance you can confine being a t
t to the P&P otherwise there's not much point in the forum really is there?

Would have thought a commodity broker might know the difference between Sterling and Stirling though, unless you just wanted to reinforce the general view on City stereotypes?

I messed up a thread on the Motorport Forum recently because someone referred to STERLING Moss.
At least I'm consistent (which was drummed into me as a Trainee Accountant).
I wouldn't worry about it Eric.At least I'm consistent (which was drummed into me as a Trainee Accountant).
Nobody else seems in the slightest bit bothered about Sterling's (or Stirling's) decline anyway...

I'm interested but busy watching other parts of the economy slide into oblivion this morning.
