Hi Everyone, over the weekend i attempted to get my girlfriends red seicento looking nice and glossy red instead of the dull pinky colour it was. Now its come up ok apart from it still doesnt look as 'deep' as i'd liked. Anyone got any tips as to how to get that lovely deep sheen to it? I used Auto glym super resin polish on it by the way.

Needing a bit more of a cut buddy, the polish is fine but not aggressive enough for what your trying to achieve.

i agree. go for something like menzerna intensive polish and then follow up with a something like the menz rd3.02. both will work ok by hand. use a couple of good quality polishing pads rather than cloths. something like the german applictor pads (white side) then protect it with a good wax.

this is my red ra with above process. however being a detailer i get to use a rotary so can correct and restore paint further than by hand.

knowing what other products are out there i wouldn't put it anywhere near my paintwork. but if you're happy to use it then go for it.

I believe they switched to the Lake County pad - for the dual foam German applicator, Tim @ cleanyourcar.co.uk is your man.
