Went there on Sat really nice day out really hot.

Waited near on 2 hrs to get on Nemeis and then every other ride was just shy of 1 hr - Managed 6 rides.

Anyway our first que Nemesis we had just been in it for 5 mins and close to the back then a girl comes up behind (noone had challenged them yet) and she said excuse me I need to pass to get back into the que with my friends & mum. I ignored her then she said it again and I said sorry but Im not letting anyone pass me (unluckily for me the official sign wasnt in sight so I could point it out to her) but she called out to her mum and frankly it wasnt far ahead and wed only waited 5 mins so we let her go. Again noone in front of us challenged her on her way through.

Later on we'd been queing 45mins and noone had stepped out of the que since we had been there. then these 2 teenage girls came pushing through - again noone challenged so I stood ready blocking the path again she said excuse me I need to rejoin my friends I ignored her and she skirted round under my arm - I didnt expect that so I quickly moved to prevent her friend passing then her friend said let me through I said noone is passing then the other girl screamed out MUM this guy isnt letting me pass, mum shouted out WHY then she did the Friends Ross style commas with your fingers QUE JUMPING - her mum started to move through the que. She looked just like vicky pollard so as she came through I asked the group of people in front of us they were 20y.o. then they looked through to see the girls mum and totally backed off. This was a chav family no question.
Anyway she said why you not let'omng er through - I said que jumping and shes telling porkie pies that she left the que 10 mins ago as Ive been here for 45mins facing your direction all the time noone has left, do you think que jumping is ok? She said the girls name stuck her hand out and forcefully pulled her past me.

I then said actually I might join you shall I just follow you through. "F^&k off you p&ick" was the response.

Anyway still had 20 mins of queing left and we kept passing each other - kids smoking they were no older than 13.

So why didnt anybody else say anything? Why do so many have no backbone. Should I have just let them pass what sould you do?
Impossible to inform the ride operators as too far away and by the time we had reached the front they had gone onto the ride.

Or should I have actually followed them as I said I would?

¿Que?

That was quite difficult to read. I'd say it's not really a big deal - irritating yes, but it's really not going to affect your queueing time too much. Although I do like the idea of blocking the path and saying "none shall pass!". scratchchin

So far sounds like noone has the kahunas to stand up to these chavs. They think they can get away with anything - stand up to them in a very public place (so they cannot cut you or stab you) and there is little they can do.

People jumping queues and having no manners - whatever next?

The Daily Mail is right - the world is coming to an end...

Queuing is a British trait. Not moaning/standing up for the right thing is another British trait.

A broken society for a broken country.

Stand up to them, get punched, get into an argument, create a scene, ruin your day.

Ignore the tts, dont ruin your day.

Say you had your own kids there and they wanted to copy them or they started asking you why you told them off/didnt allow them to queue but those other you let them pass without saying a word... double stds?

I appreciate some people dont like risking confrontation however the longer they get away with it the harder and harder it is to to get them to respect the rules and get this shocking state of youth crime/hoodies/chavs, they are part of our society and turning a blind eye only makes things worse.

My girlfriend and I went on a random Tuesday a couple of months ago (pre-school holidays)....flippin brilliant.

Went on Nemesis 3 times (10mins of queueing max) and did all the other big ones at least twice.

The weather wasn't great, but my goodness I cannot think of a better way to do a theme park. The final Saturday of August, week before schools go back was just, what's the word, "brave" hehe

It seems to me that they were not queue jumping, since one of their party was already holding their place in the queue.

That's pretty much the same argument as 'she was provocatively dressed, what did she expect?' I expect decent standards of behaviour everywhere thanks.

There's lots of signs in all the queues stating what defines queue jumping. One of those things is saving a place for somebody.
