Why is my advert not being submitted?

I have used Pistons Heads classifieds before - and with some limited success. I am a private seller and not a dealer, but I do change my cars every few months and I always have a healthy collection.

I have tried three times now to place an advert for a Pontiac Trans-Am I have for sale - but each time the advert is removed before it is submitted, but no explanation is sent. I have emailed Piston Heads but have not received any reply or explanation.

Can someone shed some light on what the hell is happening or suggest a way I can get an advert placed. Here is the same advert on Ebay incase something in the text is causing a problem: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...

I seem to be having the same problem. Submitted an ad for a Yamaha R6 over the weekend for it to disappear with no explanation?

(I took the bike in PX against the CBR600RR I've just sold via PH, but I'm not allowed to advertise the bike straight away after the previous one???? please advise!)

We were getting a false alarm from one of our warning systems which was blocking your adverts. I've corrected this now so your advert is now live.

I,ve advertised before on piston heads with no problems what so ever. However i can not find my car when i look for it this time??

If i do an advanced search its there but not when i just browse the cars??!! Does this mean other people cant see it either?

Any help would be greatly appriciated!

I'm having the same problem to. Tried it using different email addy as well as title change and numberplate with/without space in it.

I don't think i've got one as I didn't get any confirmation emails.

Hi Timmy,

I've had a look and your advert is on there, but as it is a standard advert it appears after all the premium adverts, whichever way you sort the list using the grey bar at the top.

If you click on the 'Filter' tab at the top of the Impreza page then you should be able to find it quite easily, for example THIS is the list of Imprezas within 10 miles of your postcode (including yours).

If you don't filter down the list at all then the shear number of Imprezas means that it will be quite a long way back. Currently, the advert you linked to above is on Page 55

I've just used the 'Filter' button to look for private adverts within 25 miles of your postcode, which returns THESE RESULTS

Both of your M3 adverts are there on the first page.

Hi, I also created an advert on Saturday which still hasnt appeared its an ad to sell my 285 bhp saab westfield.

I've checked and both copies of your advert are live, currently at the bottom of page 5
