If anyone with an auto currently is keen to get serious on the track I've got a Rock Solid A4 Auto for sale. This box owes me about £3000 with converter and has done less than 1500 miles since built, it was built to be as strong a 4L60E can be with input shaft, clutches etc all the best money could buy. I'm running it behind my twin turbo set up, it shifts hard and feels strong. The converter is an anti-baloon Fuddle (3500-4000rpm depending on your set-up) that was built specifically to be streetable but will flash hard under load on the hole-shot, it will work best with a blower, turbo or nos.
I'm going powerglide as the car isn't much of a streeter anymore anyway.

I'm looking for about half of what it owes me at £1500 but make me an offer if your keen.
Cheers.

If this was an A6 I'd be biting your hand off, still tempted if it would drop into the VXR8 until I can find a built A6 (6L80E), don't spose you know anyone building these?

No mate not at the moment, still a bit pricey for the 80's. I'm sure you could source one from the States if you were to look around. Try www.eatmyshifts.com , good boxes.

Try Andy on 01902 344004, not used him myself but comes highly recommended. I've called him already, but he's not back till Monday.

I would be suprised about anyone claiming to know how to 'build' (as opposed to rebuild) a 6L80e in the UK. They are still pretty new to the aftermarket in the states even, they have taken the electronics much deeper on these boxes, making them more tricky to upgrade.

Hi there, I could be vaguely interested, but depends on by motor upgrade which is still some way off at the moment. 3 Issues with this. A) 4L60 is retrograde step as I have the 4L65E already which would only need a kit and may be servo, my standard tune is pretty good stock. B) I would have to do something with the TCM (Segment swap?) because I know the tuning setup is completely different. C) The Stall is probably too high for what I will want (3000). Why are you selling?
