I havent tried this yet but:

If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your phone.

Hold your mobile phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button on the spare key, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car or boot should unlock.

Apparently you could be hundreds of miles from home and this should work if you can reach someone who has access to your spare keys.

Another mobile trick:
Hidden Battery Power, if your mobile battery is very low. Activate hidden reserve by pressing *3370 your mobile should restart with the reserve power and the phone will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you next re-charge your mobile

hmmmmmm, not sure about that.

This would rely on the mobile phone being able to detect and transmit radio frequency from its microphone and speakers. Seems highly unlikely but report back if it works smile

The people who stick this stuff on the Internet are cruel really. Reminds me of my parents infesting their computers with all sorts due to dodgy sites putting up popups designed to look like part of the Windows XP interface. Then it's muggins here who has to un-rape the machine. Other good ones are the poor souls who forward around chain emails to all their friends in good faith. As a techy guy who can see through the mists of bullsh*t it really grinds my gears!

Don't even get me started on spam, a new one's just popped in:

This kind of worked if you used an analog phone and the key fob was digital.

It only works if you type in 5407708 and then hold the phone upside down.

I think 58008 and upside down might work too.
