Im probably just ranting here, but it really gets me wound up when people stand too close to me, for example:

This morning using a cash machine, and the zombie behind was near breathing down my neck, and standing slightly to my right so he could see the screen if he wanted to. Happens nearly every time I use a cash machine now. Usually if someone is in front of me at a machine I give them a bit of breathing space ffs...

Waiting in a queue in argos, the mother and daughter behind me standing so close that the mother's hand bag kept banging into me everytime she turned to speak to her daughter. I kept moving forward a few inches to give myself some space yet they done the same. FFS.

quite a few similar instances over the weekend, enough to make me ask:

Am I over reacting? and if not, how do you deal with ignorant tts who

You mean you never enjoy a game of "tit cricket" in a busy pub?

Yep, annoys me too. I normally just glare at them....if you turn round to face them, then their miscalculation of presonal space becomes more apparent!

Just step back and crush their toes, or turn round sharply with your elbow out! Good place to practice these manoeuvres is on the London underground during the rush hour..Enjoy!

Nope. I feel the same. Normally just take a step back to give myself some room. Some people are indignant that I've just stepped on their toes. Others apologise for standing too close.

Take a random step back..... that should, in a more diplomatic way, inform the person of the boundary between you and them !!

Glad you bought this up actually. There's a guy I struggle (not physically, yet) with most mornings on the train platform. Why can't this guy stand in a queue with everyone else. He's about 8ft and 4 stone and HAS to stand at right angles to everyone else in (I guess) an attempt to be an intimidating kinda action. I hate it. It bothers me, but I have been rather restained so far. Do people like this need to be noticed? Need/want to be feared......or simply need a slap.

I'm with Mike400 on this one. If they get too close in a suppermarket queue, while I'm packing my bags, I usualy ask if they are going to pay for the goods as well, being as I now can't get to the cashier. They follow you to the end of the packing bit, old people and young.

Standing in the que this lunchtime awaiting to pay for my food, an OAP was so close to me i could feel her breath on my arm, hurl my natural reaction was to turn with a look of disgust on my face, which soon saw her stop it immediatly thumbup

I do however, still feel violated and sick...

I find people of a sub continent extraction have a real problem with personal space, I like a good foot and half minimum around me at all times, the other day i had some fellow of Sri Lankan heritage literally inches behind me at the checkout, I had to ask him to move back. That sounds trite but i do not wish to be breathing other peoples pheromones if i don't have to.

Usually not helped by the f*ckwits manning the tills who start throwing the next shoppers shopping down to the packing bit while you are still trying to lift yours into your trolley....
