Hotpoint Washer/Dryer modification
Discussion
Hi Guys
Random question but I have recently taken delivery of a hotpoint washer dryer, but its too tall to fit under the kitchen top and I can't return it.
It is about 30 cm too tall and looks like it is in 2 pieces with the machine on top and at the bottom, roughly 30cm, there is a draw that pulls out.
Nothing is in the draw and I have no idea why its there.
My question is this - can i saw the bottom draw section off so it will fit?:P

You're already wasting valuable time Swillsy.
You must act on instinct when this situation arises. Thinking about it won't get the problem sorted.
Get the saw out right now. Draw a rough wavy, smudgy line where you intend to cut and go at it with a cheap hacksaw and conviction.
Life is a gamble.

Right attitude but the wrong approach. You must act on instinct when this situation arises. Thinking about it won't get the problem sorted.

This job calls for a hammer, not a small one but a 14lb sledgehammer.
Beat it down, hit it again and again until it has cowered by the required amount.

k can you buy one that is more than 50 percent out. I suspect you mean 30 mm, but if it's 30 cm out, then it wasn't made to go under a work top. Have you bought one of those big f
