God damned tree hugging hipies! [Rant!]
Discussion
Anyone who knows me, knows I have little patience with the irrational eco-mentalists!
Get a load of this letter we got in the office, complaining about their local bus company!
"I've been meaning to contact you for some time. Every time I travel by bus the heating is on - regardless of the season or the prevailing temperature. On the occasions that I've spoken to the driver I seem to get a comment along the lines of 'the control is in the engine compartment' or 'the valve isn't working'. Can I suggest that you could improve your fuel economy, and therefore profits, if there was effective monitoring and switching off of the heating system. Additionally I'm sure you don't need me to tell you about the effects on the atmosphere of the increased unnecessary use of fuel.
I would imagine that this is a nationwide, if not global, issue and feel that this should be highlighted at least through your company"
FREAKS!
Heat being pumped through from the engine bay? (engines create heat - funny that!) It's a GLOBAL issue?!?!?!
Irrational nut jobs the lot of them! Smash the Machines! Why can't we all live a peaceful, agrarian, pastoral existence with a subsitence ecconomy, where machines can't cool you out!

Tw@ts!

Why not tell them that the heat is generated by passing hot water from the engine through a heat exchanger thus cooling the water down. Water in the engine cooled to optimum temp means more efficient running of the engine so saving more fuel. Also by letting the passengers sweat a bit and lose some weight the bus will save even more fuel by running lighter.Easy peasy
