Hi all,

This is my first post in pedal powered - I've been a member for a while but only really in P&P and GG. I've just got back to uni in Bath and for my first time since I started uni in 2005, have brought my bike with me (although I've been cycling for years and did the end to end when I was 14) smile However, I don't really know the roads around here very well and the few rides I've been out on so far have involved dual carriageway stretches which aren't ideal - I'm a road rider if you haven't picked up on that yet!

Is there anyone around here who can give me some suggestions on some good routes to try please? I'm looking at anything 20+ miles round trip from the centre of town.

Any help much appreciated, thanks biggrin

2 suggestions:
  • Buy yourself a 1:50,000 OS map of the area and plan routes avoiding the big roads.
  • I think a group meets at John's Bikes on Walcot Street so perhaps pop in there and ask them; they're pretty friendly in there.

The Pepperpot (or Browns Folly as the some of us know it) at Bathford is all you need to know smile
