Where to find an X-type estate
Discussion
Anyone know of any other places to look for a decent X-Type diesel estate?
I'm looking for a 2005 2.0d SE for sub £7000 and all the ones on autotrader seem to be miles from me (North London) - aren't there any around in London?
I've looked in Pistonheads, Autotrader & E-Bay and don't seem to be able to find any local enough that float my boat. A dealer in Kings Lynn has a 55 plate one in blue with blue leather that looks lovely, but it looks like a 2 hour drive each way and as they're a car supermarket, I'm not that sure of them still having it when I get there (although it hasn't gone anywhere in the last few weeks...)
So where did anyone get theirs? Or does anyone have one coming up for sale soon now that the new number plates have come in? Blue or silver preferred...

Just keep looking. The more you travel, view and drive different examples, the more you'll be confident you've found the right car when you see it.
Most Main Stealer's forecourts are awash with used X Types and there's several in the classifieds and on Autotrader, so sooner or later the ideal car will turn up. When I go and look at cars some distance away I usually turn the trip into a day out somewhere new as well - that way if the car's not the one for me then at least the time and petrol isn't completely wasted.

I got a Sport Premium Estate from London but I traveled from Leeds and it wasn't sub 7k!!! (I wish it was)
We went from Surrey to Carlisle to get our 3Lt Manual Sports Premium Estate.I also went to Leeds to get my XKR Coupe a few years ago.
Also went to Nottingham to collect a 'Cat D' so I could have the Recarro seats to put into my XKR
Seems to get what you want you have to travel
