Mountain Bikers
Discussion
Hey guys,
just curious as to how many on here are avid mountain bikers as well as petrol heads??
also, how many of the mountain bikers on this forum are from near llandegla??
if your local, how about we all arrange a PH ride. gives people time to show off there cars, and bikes (or just bikes if you dont drive)
if this seems a good idea, just make a list of how's interested and then we can arrange a date. will must likely be a sunday. probably in 2 weeks time

There's a whole forum for engine-less idiots (like me) here...

I ride a Giant DH Comp. Llandegla isn't really my thing though. Prefer race standard downhill tracks with a lift to the top
Man after my own heart...
Ive been to llandegla a few times, a few times trying to bed in the DH rig before heading to Morzine, too much flat/up hill.
I'm a lazy boy now.
Owner, rider and abuser of a 2006 Specialized Bighit, frequently hurled down DH, singletrack, 4X tracks aswell as the occasional dirt jump for schitz and giggles. Used to race, but after a quite nasty 'off' (broke my ankle into 3 pieces and royally messed up my back and neck) I tend to stick to 'social' session on DH tracks.

didnt think there was a such a large DH community on here?? i personally own a DH specced orange patriot, but i lug it round llandegla as if you can ride a 40lb rig with 9 gears around somwhere with that much up hill you can ride it anywhere. (obv an over exageration but hey ho) im currently recouperating after a nice off where i separated my AC joint to that of a grade 3 (worst) the joys, anyways, with dictors saying i shouldnt ride and a sticky up collar bone i shall continue to ride untill it protrudes throught my skin.
I've got an '07 Trek Fuel EX7 slightly pimped with Bontrager Race X Lite carbon bars, seatpost and Avid Juicy Carbon 203/185 brakes. Now summer is on the way out I'm swapping tyres to Jones ACX and going tubeless...they arrive tomorrow and then I can fit them and sit and look at the bike for a few weeks as I also have a broken collarbone at the moment from t
tting a tree at high speed at Afan the other week. Hmmm, reading other threads bit of a theme here perhaps? (But I did get a ride in a helicopter!)

There are some very accomplished MTB riders here.
I'm not one of them.
However you'll find plenty of interest here (in the pedal powered section). In fact PH is the one-stop-shop for just about anything you could want to know. Seriously, there's very little that one of the however-many-tens of thousands of PHers can't answer.
I also reckon going quickly on a mountain bike and going quickly in a car share a lot of the same skills.
