water damaged PS3

My two year old has introduced some water to my PS3 which is now fubar

it will switch on fan kicks in really loud for about 30 seconds then switches off

can anybody recommend a console repair company?

should be it happened a week or so ago and been given the hair drier treatment

My mates 3 year old forced 2 disks into his PS3, he rang Sony and told them this and they sent him a new one and picked up his duff one so they seem to be fairly sympathetic to mishaps.

Otherwise house insurance might cover it.

Will try that! but would be a little surprised if they did, might restore my faith in large corporates though I thought Sony wanted £150 just to look at

Excess is £250 for accidental damage so as cheap to buy new

just wondered if anybody had tried a console repair company a few out there on the web but I guess I am a little sceptical to send off a console

If the console is bricked already not sure what you have to lose?
